Yes, you control where your data resides with iDBQuery. Choose a managed-cloud region, run inside your own private VPC in the geography you select, deploy fully air-gapped on-premise, or use the local Desktop app, so your data and processing stay in the jurisdiction your policies require. Nothing is forced into a fixed location.
Data residency is handled through deployment choice rather than a single hosted location.
- Pick your region. On managed cloud, your workspace runs in the region you choose, keeping data within the geography your policies allow.
- Run in your own account. A private-VPC deployment places iDBQuery in your cloud account, in whatever region you operate, so residency simply follows your existing infrastructure.
- Stay fully on-premise. Air-gapped and Desktop deployments keep data inside your own facilities or devices, which satisfies the strictest sovereignty requirements where data may not cross borders at all.
Because iDBQuery queries sources in place and does not centralize them into a separate warehouse, your data does not get replicated to some other location as a side effect of using the product. That makes residency far easier to reason about: the data stays where you put it.
