Can I use iDBQuery offline?

Yes — iDBQuery offers a Desktop app and can run fully air-gapped, so you can query your data with no internet connection. Everything stays on your machine or inside your network, which is ideal for sensitive data or environments without external connectivity.

iDBQuery does not require a constant connection to an outside service to work. There are two main ways to use it offline.

  • Desktop app. Runs locally on your machine and queries your data without sending it out, so you can work on a laptop with no network.
  • Air-gapped deployment. Installed entirely inside an isolated network with no external connectivity, for the most sensitive environments.

In both modes you still get the full experience — plain-language questions, generated SQL, charts, cited answers and the Analyst agent — because the intelligence runs where you deploy it. This is what makes iDBQuery viable for organisations that simply cannot send data to an external cloud: defence, healthcare operations, financial back-office systems, or a consultant working with a client's confidential extract on a plane.

For example, an analyst on a secure site can connect a local database and ask 'reconcile these two ledgers' with no internet at all, and every figure is still cited to its source rows. Offline is not a stripped-down fallback here; it is a first-class deployment option. If your requirement is 'the data cannot leave this room', iDBQuery is designed to meet it.
